Obituary of Sandra Vosper

Please share a memory of Sandra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Sandra, at home in the loving arms of her husband, Clive on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of Clive Giles for 32 years. Sandra was a mover and a shaker in all avenues of her life-personal, professional, and familial. She was the loved daughter of the late Herbert and late Lucy Vosper (nee Avill). Dear sister of Carol, Janet (Barry), Max (Wendy), Sue (Barry), Rick (Sam), Lorna (Basil), Valerie (Mike), Nancy (James), late Thomas (late Mary), and the late Robert (late Patricia). Sister-in-law of Maureen Hornblower (Graham) of England. Sandra will be missed by her umpteen nieces and nephews, as well as many special friends, especially Betty Mills. Sandra’s first love was Robert Brannan who predeceased her in 1973. Sandra was a very active member of Zonta and served as a District Governor. She was a co-owner and partner with her sister, Valerie in A-Z Fabrics and Accent Costume Rentals. She participated in the Algoma Fall Festival, Wabi-Sabi, and numerous local art initiatives as a skilled multimedia artist. She was the recipient of numerous awards. Sandra was a woman of many talents that included the ability to call, shoot, and skin a moose. Afterwards, she could even tan the hide. She could also do fine needlework, design, and create the most beautiful silk dress. Sandra had a great sense of fun and adventure. She was one of the original OGA-Mamas, Frater Kids and SPRITES. Sandra was a world traveller whether solo, with her husband or with Zonta, she literally “Went everywhere man!”. Sandra will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. When we gather, tears of grief and laughter will surely mix freely. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sault Ste. Marie Zonta Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Special thank you to the SSM Police and Paramedics who attended our home, your care and compassion is greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758).
