Peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the age of 81. Devoted husband and best friend of Marilyn for 57 years. Proud father and mentor of Paul David Jr. and Marnie Martan (Michael). Loving Pappa of Travis, Dawson and Spencer Paciocco and Deanna, Olivia and Mitchell Martan. Son of the late Umberto and Assunta Paciocco. Brother of the late Rudy (late JoAnne), Virginia (late George Funk), Dorothy (late Marcel Moreau) and Robert (Judy). Son-in-law of the late James and Mary-Anne Kucher. Brother-in-law of the late Kenneth Kucher (Elsa) and David Kucher (Dawn). Paul will be fondly remembered and missed by his many nieces and nephews. He took great pride in achieving his B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering at the Michigan College of Mining and Technology. With his education and work ethic he earned the position of Vice President of Operations for both Algoma Steel and later Stelco Steel (Hilton Works). With his experience in these positions he also took great joy in being a Board Member with the General and Plummer Hospital, Sault Golf and Country Club and the Algo Club. Dad will always be remembered for the love of his family and his great sense of humour. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Pat Woods officiating. Due to the current pandemic there is a maximum attendance restriction of 40 attendees in the Church for the service. To reserve your spot for the Mass please call Paul Jr. at 705-253-4664. Mandatory for everyone is the use of hand sanitizer, masks or face coverings and physical distancing of 2 meters unless members of the same household. Private entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to Parkinson’s Society of Canada or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. A Celebration of Life for Paul will be held at a later date. We would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses on 3C and ICU, especially Dr. Dawson for their care, compassion and dignity shown to our father and family.
