Obituary of Randy Luzzi

Peacefully and surrounded by his family, Randy passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the age of 64. Loving father of Stevie Rae Luzzi and son of the late Reno and the late Gilda Luzzi. Cherished brother of Ken (Judy), Leta Yarema (Ron) and Tony (Judy) and uncle to Marty, Valerie, Lindsay, Megan, and Jill. Randy grew up in a vibrant neighbourhood where he was part of the ‘Little Gang’, often playing ball hockey on the concrete pad of Alexandra Street or baseball in the empty lot beside Nardi’s house. An athlete in high school, he relished being a part of the SMC basketball team. Throughout his life he was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and golf. Randy brought his love of sports to the field and over the years took great pleasure in coaching his daughter’s soccer teams. He loved spending time out at camp, golfing with his friends and no one had a cleaner car. Randy will be missed by his family, friends, and his little fur buddy, Butkus. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to cousin Kim for her love and support throughout Randy’s illness, to Dr. Karen Booth, the staff of 2B and 2C at the Sault Area Hospital and ARCH for their kindness, care, and compassion. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the SAH Cancer Care Fund or ARCH.
