Obituary of Vittorio "Vic" Favaro Sr.

Peacefully passed away at the Sault Area Hospital with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, in his 87th year. He has been reunited with the love of his life, Rita, after 8 months apart. Loving father of Vic Jr. (Julie), and Lee Ann. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Jordan (Danielle), Kira Berry (Kyle), and Aaron (Emily), and his treasured great grandchildren Linnea and Milo. Son of the late Silvio and Maria Favaro. Sister of Eugenia Trifiletti of Switzerland, Inglesina Amadeo of Australia, and Roberta Spadafore of Sault Ste. Marie. Long time friends of Danny and Sally Candido of Edmonton, Alberta. Vic was a devoted and incredibly skilled carpenter for the better part of his life. No project was too big or too small for him to tackle. He could often be found sitting out in his garage or working in his shop. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humour and his deep love for his family. A private service will be held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Tuesday April 6, 2021 with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation. A special thank you to nurses and doctors at SAH on 3B, especially Dr. Patterson, and to ICU staff, Marlyna and Dr. DiFabio, for their exceptional care and compassion.
