Obituary of Jean Kehoe

Please share a memory of Jean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Peacefully passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 in her 94rd year. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, John and her loving daughter, Connie. Cherished mother of Linda (Chuck Bain) and Sandra “Sam” Ramsay (late Ron) (Doug). Proud Grandmother of Kerry (Larry), JT, and special Gram of Jo-Anne. Great grandmother of Jessica (Katie), Tristen, Joshua, Connie, Brianna, Logan and Candice. Great Great Grammie of Beth. Predeceased by her parents Jean and George Frech. Dear sister of the late Joyce Hall (Ron). Sister-in-law of Viola Fraser of Nova Scotia. Jean will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Cherished fur mom of Kayla.

She amazingly never was in the hospital since the day her last daughter was born and lived in her own home (which she helped build) until hospitalized. Mom’s earlier interests were helping her husband build their camp at Old Mill Bay, curling, bowling, square dancing and playing the piano. She loved swimming at camp and would always get her last swim in on Labour Day weekend. She was a loyal member of the Royal Purple until Covid hit. Raising 3 daughters and her granddaughter kept her busy in the dancing world attending many in town and out of town competitions. Mom enjoyed packing the family up and going on trips in the Pontiac and also made her way to Cuba, Arizona, Florida and Nova Scotia.

A private Graveside Service will be held. A celebration of life for the “Queen of Old Mill Bay” will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society, Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie or the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family. A special thank you to Bayshore, especially Amanda, the “little girl” and Sherri. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
