It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Vittorio on Thursday May 27, 2021 at the age of 94. Cherished husband of Checchina (Pizzuto) for 75 years. Beloved Father of Maria Rino (Gaspare), Joe Fata (Camile) and the late Angela Nelli (Robert). Proud Grandpa of Jane Orazietti (David), Peter Rino (Lisa), Jennifer van der Pol (Christian), Adam Nelli (Darcie), Victor Fata (ZZ), and Matthew Fata (Cameron). Great Grandpa of Olivia (Brandon) and Alexander Orazietti, the late Peter, Lexia and Sienna Rino, Chloe and Theo van der Pol and Declan Nelli. Son of the late Giovanni Fata and late Maria Bossio. Dear Brother of the late Pietro Fata (late Paolina), late Oreste Fata (Anna), late Arturo Fata (late Eugenia), and the late Giovanni Fata (Lina). Dear Brother-in-law of the late Arturo Pizzuto (late Carmina), late Emilia (late Rosario) Fadelbene, Concetta (Giuseppe) Valente, Anna (Giuseppe) Benardo, Paolo (Angela) Pizzuto, Settimio (Emma) Pizzuto, Agostino (Lina) Pizzuto. Vittorio will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, especially Franca and Armando Pagnotta, cousins, and many friends.

He will be remembered for his daily visits to the grocery stores, his passion for watching all types of sports, card playing (Briscola or Scopa), his bocce league, as well as salami and wine making. Spring was his favourite time of year anticipating the start of planting his vegetable garden. Up until his departure he made sure his garlic and onions were planted.

His most treasured times were attending his grandchildren and great grandchildrens' sporting activities and attending or hosting family celebrations. We take great comfort that he is now reunited with his family and his beloved daughter Angela, and his late Great Grandson Peter Rino.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at SAH, 3rd floor Units B & C. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the SAH or ARCH.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758). Please visit Northwood Funeral Home's website to leave memories and condolences on Vittorio's tribute page as a keepsake for the family.
