Obituary of Andre Lucien Briand Jr.

Sadly, Andy passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 61.  Survived by loving spouse and best friend, Margaret. He will also be greatly missed by his fur babies Kodiak and Molly. Proud father of Monique (Aaron) and Chantelle (Jeff) and bonus Dad of Whitney (Chris), Victoria, and Jamie. Cherished Papa of Jakob, Bentley, Brielle, and Madison, Sofie, and Liam. Dear son of Andre Sr. and late Gladys. Loving brother of Pauline (Carlo) and Jeannette (Bob). Adored uncle of Jennifer, Melissa (Neil), Kaitlyn and special uncle of Angel Nicholas. He will be fondly remembered by his great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Andy was a dedicated employee at the City of Sault Ste. Marie Board of Works for 32 years.

The family would like to thank Dr. Voutsadakis, Dr. Pearce and the Cancer Clinic for their care. Also, a very big thank you to Dr. Karen Booth and her amazing nurses who supported Andy and our family anytime needed. A special thank you to home care nurses Brandy and Sue who went over and above to provide the best care and to the rest of the Bayshore Team. We don’t know how we would have made it without you. A thank you also has to be given to the Soo Medical Services for their support. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
