Obituary of G. Leo McCabe

The family regrets to announce the peaceful passing of Leo at Extendicare Van Daele on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the age of 81. In his day he was considered the best painter in the Soo. He was known to take pride in his work and it showed. Always up for a chat he could be found at any car event in the area. He loved to fish and could spend hours on the lake whether the fish were biting or not. We all know how much he loved to have a good time, so tonight raise your glass to a great man. As requested by Leo, cremation has taken place and there will not be a service. Thank you to the staff at Van Daele for his care. Memorial donations to the Lung Health Foundation or ARCH would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).

Downrigging for lake trout was his play.
