Obituary of Chris Fryia
In the early morning hours of July 31st, 2021, after ensuring the Blue Jays won their first home opener game in 2 years, Chris passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. While our hearts are heavy, we are comforted to know that he is now at ease.
Cherished husband and best friend to Kerri. Proud father to Brittany (Matt), Josh & the late Sara. Son of the late Anthony & Sophie Fryia, son-in-law of Harold and late Dorothy Walker. Dear brother & friend of Carl (Carol), Ted (Katherine), Mary (Mike), Anthony (Ingrid), and Greg (Meredith). Brother-in-law of Richard Walker (Cindy), Debbie Lajoie (late Mark), Leigh Gainer (Brian) and Grant Walker (Marywin). Uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to many.
We will fondly remember him for his easy going, yet somehow stubborn nature, that twinkle in his eye, his quiet, steady love, and great sense of humour.
Thank you to the members of Chris’ care team - Drs. Rassouli and Carlson and the entire ADCP crew. Special thanks to Lawson, Jen, Sheila and Stephanie, your guidance and kindness truly made Chris’ visits a little easier for him. Thank you also to Laura and Rhonda in the Pacemaker Clinic and to Bayshore, especially Suzie & Marney, your visits, friendship and advice are immeasurable. A special heartfelt thank you to Carl and Ted for all their help and visits. And to ARCH, thank you for helping make everyone feel safe and comfortable.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Chris' life at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Friday, August 6th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Masks and social distancing are mandatory. The use of hand sanitizer is appreciated. A Private service will follow. In casual Chris-fashion, the family invites you to dress comfortably - jeans, sneakers and ball caps are encouraged. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic or ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
