Obituary of Kevin Wayne Ross

With loving hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Kevin at the Sault Area Hospital, with family by his side on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the age of 74. Beloved husband and friend of Carol for 51 years. Predeceased by his parents Eileen Swift (late Jim) and Wesley Ross. Beloved brother of the late Beverley Brandt (Bernie), late John and the late Madeline “Bonnie”. Brother-in-Law of Louise Stopar (late Josef) and Richard Zaharko (late Janet). Uncle Kevin will be sadly missed by Natasha (Roy) and Brendan (Denise), his great nephews Kieron, Daegan, Torrin and his great niece Adria and many other nieces and nephews.

Kevin was a loyal friend and an inspiration to many. His quick wit and humours approach to life helped him in his job as a teacher. For over 30 years, he found great pleasure in coaching basketball, volleyball, track and field, gymnastics, and baseball. It was at these sporting events he was able to challenge his students in an area they both enjoyed.

The family camp was located on Devils Lake. He spent a lot of time there participating in his favourite pastimes which included swimming, hunting, and fishing. The area is hilly and provided a landscape for much hiking as well.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Kevin’s memory can be made to the SAH Renal Dialysis Care Fund or the charity of your choice.
