Obituary of Margaret Saarela

The family of Margaret Saarela regrets to announce her passing on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the age of 80.  She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Gunther. Margaret will be greatly missed by her son Greg (Shaun) and her step-grandson Nathan. Margaret was born on August 19, 1941 in Carleton Place, Ontario to her late parents Leonard and Iva Holt. Predeceased by her brother John Holt. She will be missed by many lifelong friends and leaves behind Sandy, her canine companion. Margaret shared her spirit for life through her choir singing, therapeutic healing arts and generosity.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Soup Kitchen or Women in Crisis would be greatly appreciated.
