Obituary of Amalia "Gina" Muto

Peacefully passed away, surrounded by the love of her family at ARCH on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Emilio for 64 years. Cherished mother of Rose McCaig (Derrick) and Mary Melchiorre (Dominic). Proud grandmother of Daniel and Alyssa Melchiorre. Predeceased by her parents Eugenio and Maria Perri. Sister of Mafalda Zinga (late Frank). Daughter-in-law of the late Angelo and the late Teresina Muto. Sister-in-law of Carmen (Debbie), Gus (Colleen) and Frank (Debbie). She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Much loved Zia to many. Gina was very caring and giving and had an abundance of love for others. She was a blessing to all who knew her and will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Masks and social distancing are required. The use of hand sanitizer is appreciated. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Gregory’s Church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating.  Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to ARCH or St. Gregory’s Church would be greatly appreciated. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at ARCH for the care and compassion shown to Gina and her family.
