Obituary of Jocelyn "Jo" Howson

Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Maple view on Thursday September 9, 2021 at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Neil. Cherished mother of Cole (Tracy), Mark (Doreen) and David. Proud grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 9. Predeceased by her sisters Betty Feltham, Maisie Hurl and Sheila Cole. Survived by her brother-in-law Bill (Hilda) and predeceased by her brother-in-law Don (Maxine). Jo was an active member of ACW and Holy Trinity Church and was on the Board of Directors of CARA Community for many years. She worked as a clerical assistant with the Sault Ste. Marie Public Board of Education. Jo loved spending summers out at Trout Lake and winters in Florida. She enjoyed being a beekeeper, making honey, gardening, and tapping trees to make maple syrup. A celebration of Jo’s life is being planned for family next summer at Trout Lake. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie would be greatly appreciated. A heartfelt thank you to the staff on Twin Lakes 3^rd Floor at Maple View Nursing Home for the dedication, care and compassion shown to mum over the last 10 years.
