Brian Yarema

Obituary of Brian Anthony Yarema

Please share a memory of Brian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with profound sadness that we announce Brian's peaceful passing at ARCH with his family by his side on Friday, September 24, 2021. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sandra (Barsanti). Loving father of Shanon Kitchen (Bryan) and Brendan (Kyla). Brian was the special grandpa and best buddy of Riley and his sweet granddaughters Sydney, Alexandra, Zara and Rada.  Predeceased by his parents William and Sally (Burella), brother Richard (Shirley) and sister Joanne.  Son-in-law of Stella Barsanti and the late Reno. Survived by his brothers Ron (Lita), Barry (Diane) and Bruce. Brother-in-law of Ron Barsanti (Terri), Maria Mousseau (Mike) and Theresa Barsanti (Bob). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews who have very fond memories of his pool.

Brian will be remembered for his fun-loving personality, his tireless work ethic and his unconditional love for his family. He had a wonderful sense of humour right till the very end. He took great pride in his yard and his vehicles. Brian’s friends held a special place in his heart: Jeff, John and Alfea, Chantelle and Ricky, Melissa and Theresa and his walking friends Paul, Jane, Penny, Nick and the late Tracey. Brian's family would like to extend a very heart-felt thank you to all friends and family who were there for him and his family throughout this journey. Brian appreciated each and everyone of you.

Many thanks to all the amazing staff and volunteers at ARCH, the Algoma District Cancer Program and 3C at the Sault Area Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Pearce, Dr. Spadafora, Dr. Booth, Dr. Jarrett, Dr. Woolner and of course his favourite, Louise. Thank you for the amazing care from the Para Med Nurses especially, Alisha and Marcie. Friends, Brett and Sarah, your care and compassion was greatly appreciated.

A private mass was held at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) or St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church.
