Tribute Wall
Service
In honouring Steve’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. What would have made Steve the happiest is for everyone to go have a beer with a friend and tell long rambling stories about ice fishing, Algoma Ore Division, and grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be planned in the spring.

Condolences to the family in Wawa, spent many years there. Always remember Steve when I worked at AOD as a young punk kid, he would gently remind me to wear my safety glasses. Sad to hear he's gone.

Steve was not just a brother-in-law. He was my brother. I am going to miss his telphone calls, his home made oven cabbage. His homemade beets soup. Love to the family and my sister Roseann. Love you. God Bless you all.

Dear Rose Ann and Family,
I was very sad to hear of Steve’s passing and my prayers are with you all. Steve was a very kind and compassionate man. He was also a loyal friend. When I would come up to visit my Father, Leslie Vikken, it was not unusual to see Steve pop in to see how my Dad was doing. Their conversations were so interesting that I often just sat there listening. I was always amazed at how much Steve was able to accomplish and be involved in. I once asked him how he did it, and he pulled out some paper slips in his pocket. They were all his “To Do” lists.
Steve often spoke of you, Rose Ann, and of your children. He loved you all and was so proud of you. You are his special gift!

Rose Ann and family please accept my condolences on the passing of Steve. I have many good memories of the times I was able to visit with Steve and you when working in the Wawa area.
The last time was in 2007 when I was able to stop in at Hawk Lake when fishing out of Hawk Air Base.
Steve emailed me when your son became a Mason. He was very proud of your son.
