Obituary of Frederick Walton
The Walton family regrets to announce the passing of Frederick on November 27, 2020. He was the beloved son of the late Ralph and Muriel Walton. He is survived by many cousins and will be missed by his good friends, neighbours and co-workers.
Fred graduated from Fanshaw College with a diploma in Construction Engineering, Technology Management and later from Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He worked for many years in Detroit, earning a designation as a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse. He returned to the Sault area to work at War Memorial Hospital and Medi Lodge in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, where he was loved and respected by his co-workers and patients.
Fred loved sports, nursing and his dogs. Ranger, his last pup, is enjoying a wonderful life with one of Fred’s co-workers from War Memorial Hospital.
A family service took place September 29, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery with Debbie Jo Linklater officiating.
