Raymonde Bernard

Obituary of Raymonde Bernard

Please share a memory of Raymonde to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

With great sadness we announce the passing of Raymonde at the Sault Area Hospital on the morning of Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Beloved wife of Hazen for 62 years. Cherished mother of Michele (Brian), late Randall and Denise. Survived by her sister Yvette (Terry). Dear sister-in-law of Dolinda, Patricia, Francis, Carl and the late Rosemarie. Special Aunty Monette of Penney (Steve) and many other nieces and nephews residing across North America. She will be missed by many special friends and neighbours.

Raymonde was a very unique, self-assured lady. While growing up and working in small villages in Quebec she became very accomplished in homemaking skills that served her well throughout her life. She was an avid gardener, seamstress, and excelled at preserves, baking and cooking. She regularly gifted much of her bounty to family and friends. Her greatest accomplishment was supporting her son Randy throughout his struggle to live with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. She did so unwaveringly.

Thank-you to Raymonde's many caregivers who supported her through her illness. We appreciate how extra challenging this was during the pandemic. May she rest in peace and suffer no more....

No service will be held at this time. Interment will take place in the spring. Memorial donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Sunnybrook Foundation, Brain Sciences Research would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
