Passed away peacefully with family by his side at ARCH on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Nora for 51 years. Loving dad of the late Kevin (Katie). Gramps to his pride and joys Jeanette and Natalie. Predeceased by his parents Sydney and Letitia (Lupton). Brother of the late Don (late Marg), and Ingram (Isabel). Brother-in-law to Lesley Stimson (late Adrian) and Jim Garrett.

 

A celebration of Rod’s life will be held at the Hilton Beach Community Hall on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations to ARCH or Matthews Memorial Hospital Association would be appreciated by the family.

 

We would like to take the opportunity to thank nurse Amy, Rod looked forward to your visits. Thank you to Dr. Rassouli, Dr. Aziz, Dr. Buehner, Dr. Booth, and the Cancer Clinic at the Sault Area Hospital. A very special thank you to Terry and Gee Gee McCoy for all your help and phone calls over the years. Also, thank you to Eddy Ouellette, Ted Alleway, Charlie Nelson, and Graham Kent for the scenic tours around the Island during his final days at home. He really appreciated the time, help and visits from all of his friends and neighbours.
