Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Maple View on Monday, May 30, 2022 in her 95th year. Cherished wife of the late Barrie. Loved mother and friend of Fay Lavallee (late Bob), Barb Monto, Janice Atkins (Rick), Jack (Nancy) and Russell (Elvezia). She was a loving and devoted grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Daughter of the late Jack and the late Pearl MacKay. Sister of the late Catherine Steele (late George), late Neil MacKay (late Joy), late Shirley Collver (late George), late Pearl Maguire (late Don)(late Earl Barker), late Betty Taber (late Keith), late Mac MacKay, Duncan MacKay (Shirley), Janet Leroux (Tim), Colin MacKay (Dianne) and Joan Johnson (Don). Iris will be missed by the Bringleson family and many nieces and nephews. She loved being with people and treasured her time with her family and friends.

Mom was a busy lady. We used to tease her saying we needed a beeper on her to find her. She was always busy, organizing talent shows, member of the Volunteer Fire & Rescue, ceramic shop, square dancing, line and clog dancing, oil and water colour painting.

A private graveside service will be held at Goulais River Cemetery. A celebration of Iris’ life will be held at the Grand Gardens North on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Please join us for a Come & Go from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie would be greatly appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to the caring, compassionate staff at Maple View, Lake Superior Unit. You are truly special people.
