Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the age of 72. Partner of the late Earl Pearson many years. Loved mother of Robert Poirier (Leena). Proud grandmother of Alexander, Anthony and Kaisa Poirier. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Irene Neilson and her sister Anne Neilson.

 

Catherine worked as a hairdresser at Anita and Tony’s for 10 years before going back to school to become a Registered Nurse. She was very proud of her accomplishments in becoming an RN and enjoyed her time caring for others at Riverview: Plummer Memorial Hospital. She lived a quiet, peaceful life and loved nothing more than spending time with her family and grandchildren.

 

Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. A special thank you to the staff and caregivers at the Sault Area Hospital for making her final days comfortable. A heartfelt thank you to her caring neighbours and friends who helped Catherine keep her independence for as long as she was able.
