Obituary of Kenneth Allen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ken at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the age 96. Beloved husband of the late Shirley. Special friend of Viola. Cherished father of Valerie Childs (late John), Vicki Christenson (Evan), and Michelle Martel (Dale). Much loved Papa of Caleb, Sarah and Trevor Childs, Rileigh, Lindsay and Luke Christenson, and Ashton and Georgia Cameron. Dear brother of Barbara and Dorothy. Special Uncle of Hazel and Les (Minerva) and many others. Cherished cousin of Norma Elliot and dear friend of Al Pigeon.

Ken spent his career working as a bus driver for City Transit and Charterways. He enjoyed cheering on the Soo Greyhounds, Toronto Maple Leafs and his Blue Jays. Ken loved keeping up with CNN and was even able to listen in his final days. He loved to watch the Packers play.  

Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to all the staff at the Sault Area Hospital 3C for the care and compassion shown to Ken and our family.
