Peacefully passed away at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the age of 85 years. She is now reunited with her dear granddaughter, Ashley. Beloved wife and friend of Anthony for 63 years. Cherished mother of Debbie Chartrand (Mark), Karen St. Jules (Larry), Kathy, Anne Marie, Mark (Andrea) and JoAnne (Carlo). Proud grandmother of Blake, Bryan, Acacia, Katelyn, Joshua, Arlee, Pearl and Wyatt. Great grandmother of Jayden, Lucas, Jaccob, Bryson, Myles and Luke. Great great grandmother of Grace. Predeceased by her parents Pearl and Oscar Belanger. Sister of the late Ron (late Audrey) and the late Paul (Gail). Sister-in-law of Don and June Ciaschini. Doreen will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and her lifelong friend, Irene Trudeau.

 

A celebration of Doreen’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to ARCH or the Alzheimer Society of SSM would be greatly appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to Group Health Centre nurse, Jennifer Hendrie. A special thank you to the caring staff at ARCH as well as Dr. Buehner, nurse Mike from ParaMed and BayShore PSW, Rebecca.
