Obituary of Incoronata Carlascio

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, August 13, 2022, in her 95th year. She is now reunited with her husband, Giovanni. Loving mother of Pat (Silvana) and Michael (Marlene). Adored Nonna of Dante (Ashley), Gracie (Rohit) and David (Shelley). Cherished great grandmother of Galilee, Giada and soon to be baby Bhumar. Predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Lucia DeCesare. Predeceased by her siblings Antonio (Addolorata), Nicola (Antonia), Biagio (Addolorata), Carmela (Francesco) and Donato. Predeceased by her parents-in-law Pasquale and Elisabetta Carlascio and her brother-in-law Donato (Vanda). She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Cora was born in the town of Macchiagodena, Italy. She immigrated to Canada with her family on December 18, 1956.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to be held in the chapel at 12:00 noon with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. As per the family’s request, masks and social distancing are appreciated. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or St. Gregory’s Church would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Great Northern Retirement Home for the friendship, care and patience during the eleven years that Cora lived there. Thank you to the caring doctors, nurses and staff of 300 B of the Sault Area Hospital. A special thank you to Cora’s family doctors, Dr. Mark Jenkins and the late Dr. Mario Febbraro. Many heartfelt thanks to all of Cora’s family and friends for their love and support during this difficult time.
