Obituary of Carmina Briglio
Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, with her husband by her side, from a sudden onset of acute leukemia. Loving wife and friend of Frank of 50 years. Dearest mother of Cindy Longo (Mario), Lisa Volpe (Ivano) and Sonia Reyes (Mike). Adored nonna of Marina, Jake and Ariana. Daughter of the late Umberto and the late Saveria (Fucile) Pucci. Sister of Francesca Fucile (late Domenic), Mario (Luisa) and Amedeo (late Peggy). Sister-in-law of Teresa Briglio (late Gino), Alfredo Briglio (Rosa), and late Marisa Briglio all from Italy. Carmina will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, Godchildren and many close friends, especially Paola, Rosetta, Franca and Pina.
Carmina took great pride working at the General Hospital/Sault Area Hospital for 30 years in the Lab. Throughout the years she kept in close contact with many family and friends all over the world. Our mother was selfless, a peacemaker and a perfectionist. She was so talented. She loved to bake, cook, knit and crochet for others. Our mother’s greatest joy was when she and our dad moved to Oshawa 2 years ago to be closer to their grandchildren. She was definitely the rock of our family.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory’s Church on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
