Obituary of Edith Callahan

Peacefully passed away at the Matthews Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her beloved husband Don. Loving mother of Carol Lynn Callahan, Lou-Anne DesRoches (Conrad) and Richard Andrew Callahan. Cherished grandmother of five and great grandmother of two. Sister of Marie Egglesfield, Wendy Grey and predeceased by Bert Penhorwood (Anne). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the Staff at Bayshore, Trefry, Care Partners Health Services, dear friend Sally Hooke and nephews Brian Egglesfield and Jeremy Callahan for helping Edith realize her wish to stay in her own home. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Jocelyn Cemetery, St. Joseph Island. Service date and time will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations to the North Shore Health Network – Matthews Site or The Trefry Centre would be appreciated by the family.
