Obituary of John Donald

After a brief illness, in his 92nd year, Jack slipped away peacefully on Christmas night. Loved husband of Merle. Treasured father of Joanna, Bill (Sandy) and Jeff (Anita). Adored stepfather of Amy, Fran (Mike), Paul (Heather), Ellen, and Rita (Patrick). Brother to Bob (late Kathy) and Diane (Malcolm). Grandfather of Katie and special Papa to many.

Jack lived a life of service.  First to the military, doing what he loved most, flying planes, and to humanity. For years he served others working with the Red Cross, Christmas Cheer and Clean North. Quiet in nature, he left his mark and made the world a better place. Jack was impeccable with his words. He led by example and with humility.  A gentle soul who will be forever missed.

In keeping with Jack’s wishes a celebration of life will take place in the Spring.
