Obituary of Leo McNally

Passed away suddenly, but peacefully with family by his side while at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, December 24, 2022.

Dearly loved father of Ryan (Jenn), Tyler (Rachel) and Zac (Brittany). Proud Grandpa "Papa E" of Liam, Charleigh and Dayva. Son of the late Paul Emmitt McNally, Aileen Katherine McNally. Brother of the late Paul McNally (Carona), Leonard McNally (Janna) and Lois Urwin (late Norm). Uncle of Kathy Walker (Don) and great uncle to Kathy's daughter Ashley and the late Drew. 

Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Eric was a long-time employee at Algoma Steel with over 50 years of service as a millwright. He enjoyed travelling to each and every hockey practice, game and tournament with his three sons, family and friends over the years. Often dedicating his time as a coach in multiple sports in Sault Ste. Marie. After coaching he also spent much of his time dedicated to organizing special visits with professional teams and obtaining signed memorabilia for all of his son's teammates each year to hold and cherish for a lifetime.  

Eric was an avid Detroit Lions and New York Yankees fan. He loved to travel and make memories with family and friends including his time coaching minor league baseball and hockey. He will be forever remembered as a selfless man who enjoyed doing things for the ones he loves. 

The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at the Sault Area Hospital.
