Obituary of Anthony Schryer

Peacefully passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the age of 89. Devoted partner of Phyllis Gannon and family. Loving father of Randy (late Chris), Michael (Syndi) and Joanne Verdone (Michael). Proud Grandad, great grandad and great great grandad. Brother of Henry (Carole), Julian (Juliette), Edward and predeceased by 12 siblings. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. A special thank to Bill & Stella Luck and Jodi & Bill Hull for the devoted care given to Tony.

Tony was a strong, hardworking man. He belonged to the YMCA and was an avid bowler for over 50 years. He loved country music and was always first on the dance floor.

Cremation has taken place and at Tony’s request, no services will be held. Memorial donations to the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen would be greatly appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to 2C and Palliative Care at the Sault Area Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Tony.
