Obituary of Richard LeBreux
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rick, with family and friends by his side, at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the age of 81. Beloved husband and best friend of Nella for 41 years. Loving father of Michelle (JP), Paul (Irene) and Dustin (Melanie). Cherished and proud Grandpa of Tim, Jeremy, Kelsey, Ryan (Little Ricky), Jett and Jaycee. They really were his pride and joy. Rick will be deeply missed by family and so many wonderful friends who were always there to provide support during his illness.
For 35 years, Rick was an educator in the Catholic school system. He was an avid sports fan and a great athlete in his younger days. He had a passion for baseball and was a top fastball pitcher at North Street Field for a number of years.
Rick was a tremendous public speaker and was always comfortable in front of people. Whether it was a wedding, a retirement party or a funeral, Rick was always the MC. He always knew what to say and he was always prepared. He followed a simple philosophy, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity that is closest to your heart will be greatly appreciated by our family.
Our sincerest gratitude to Kelsey West, Allissia his home nurse, Dr. Booth and ARCH for making him comfortable during his final days. There are not enough superlatives to express our gratitude for the exceptional care he received from Home and Community Care Support Services. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
