Obituary of Esther Wrona

Peacefully fell asleep in death on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) in her 86^th year. She will be remembered by her loving husband Edward of 60 years and her three children Shelley (Kerry McLean), Daisy and David. She was a proud grandmother of four, Loralei, Melanie, Natalie and Myles and a great grandmother of seven. She is survived by her sister Myrta (late Ernie Rivers), brother Joe Wiederkehr (Jean) and sister Heidi (Rick Partridge).

Esther was born in Switzerland. At the age of 12, she moved with her family to Canada where they settled on a dairy farm in Tarbutt Township, Ontario. She went on to be the valedictorian of her nursing class and began work in the operating room at the Plummer Hospital until she decided to stay at home to raise her family.

The family would like to thank Doctors Fritz, Gupta, Spadafora and Wacker, as well as the doctors and staff at the Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario. A heartfelt thank you to the nurses and PSWs who cared for Esther in her home. A special thank you to Dr. Booth and the loving staff and volunteers at ARCH.

A memorial service will be held via Zoom on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Please contact the family for details. Memorial donations in Esther’s name can be made to ARCH or the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Canada.
