Obituary of Bibi Balgobin

Our beloved Bibi passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the age of 77. She was born October 6, 1946 in Guyana, South America.  She is survived by her husband Budso of 62 years, her four children and ten grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter, Sally of Toronto.

Our family moved to Canada in 1982 and settled in Sault Ste. Marie in 1985. Mom worked at the Red Cross as an in home PSW for about 20 years until her retirement. We are heartbroken to lose someone so special. Her kindness and compassion were a true inspiration. She had the genuine ability to make friends and connect with anyone that she met. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend and dedicated wife who will be deeply missed by all. Mom attended Westminster Presbyterian Church and has made many friends. A special thank you to Rev. John Wilson for his kind words. Thank you would be an understatement for the amazing in-home care that she received that made an otherwise challenging time for our family manageable. We would also like to thank the amazing staff and volunteers at ARCH in Sault Ste Marie, your genuine kindness, compassion and generosity leaves us at a loss for words.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
