Obituary of Reno Morgan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Ray. Beloved husband of Joyce (née Sansom) for 74 years. Cherished father of Jo-Ann (Patrick), Judi (Jeff), Janice (Jim), Jacqueline, and Ronald (John). Loving Papa of Gregory (Alyssa), Ashley (Javier), Tara (Anthony), Kurtis (Lindsay), Kaitlyn (his “chum”), and Ryan (Taylor). Special Great Papa of Nico Ray, Isla, Jace, and Theodore. Son of the late Felix Morgan and the late Gina Morgan (née Grando). A loved Uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

Ray was a well-known businessman and proud owner of “Morgan’s Clothing” for 33 years. He enjoyed playing guitar throughout his life, was a member of the band “Friends” for many years and was inducted into the Northern Ontario Country Music Hall of Fame in 2011. A special thank you to the staff of the F.J. Davey Home, particularly in Driftwood 1 and Birch 1; your care and compassion for our father and family went above and beyond.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Ray’s life at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
