Obituary of Angelo DePetrillo

It is with great sadness that the family of Angelo announces his passing, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the age of 87. Beloved husband and best friend of Maria for 66 years. Loving father of Anna Biasucci (Sam), Lucy Day (Larry) and John DePetrillo (Shirley). Proud Nonno of Carlo (Ashlee), Joey (Nicole), Pam (Graeme), Danielle (Andrej) and the late Phillip. Loving great-nonno of Ben, Avery and Allison. Son of the late Giovanni and the late Maria Civita. Brother of the late Guido (Angela), Gino (Ida), Carmelina (late Biagio), Maria (Enzo), Anna (Wayne) and Tony (late Karen). Son-in-law of the late Vincenzo and the late Arcangela. Brother-in-law of the late Luigino (late Dolorinda), late Domenic (late Mafalda), late Eugenio (late Concetta), late Alberto (Maria Carmina), late Giovanni (late Elena), Annina (late Emelio), late Giuseppe (late Carmelina) and Antonio (Maria). Angelo will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered for his love of his family, his dedicated work ethic and his love of gardening.

A private family service has been held. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or Precious Blood Cathedral would be greatly appreciated by the family. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and PSWs for the care and compassion shown to Angelo and our family.
