Obituary of John Fuselli
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved family patriarch, John at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, August 11, 2023. Loving and doting husband of Roberta (nee Hall). Loving father of Tami Fuselli, Tracy Adamo (Chip) and John Fuselli Jr (Stacey). Best friend and Papa of Jonathon, Michael (Rena), Matthew (Jaelyn) and Noah (Allie). Son of late Anthony and late Irene Fuselli (nee Daynard). Brother of the late Donald Fuselli, Glenda Candido (late Dino), Wayne Fuselli (late Lani), Gary Fuselli (Joan), Brian Fuselli (Debbie), late Gloria Childs (late Penny) and Frank Fuselli. Brother-in-law of Joanne Evans (Lloyd). Son-in-law of the late Joe and late Ethel Hall. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. John will be dearly missed by our loving family pets Molly, Luna, Zoey, Maize, Yoda and Koda. Every night at 9:00 p.m. you could always find John with his coffee crew at a local coffee shop. They will miss his friendship dearly.
Shag was well known for his involvement in Sault Ste. Marie hockey for many years. He coached teams such as the Thessalon Flyers and many other teams at various levels. He also was the Assistant Coach with the Soo Greyhounds in the late 80’s, and was an alumnus with the Greyhounds from playing with them in the 60’s. Coach Shag was equally dedicated to fastball and slow pitch and loved the game whether he was playing or coaching.
He had such a vibrant personality, so much so, that everyone who ever met him could not help but smile. He was so kind, full of energy, and was always quick to offer a back slap or handshake with a happy greeting or a good story. Family always came first and foremost to John, and he was so proud of everyone.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Esquire and will be announced at a later date.
The family asks that any memorial donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
Rest easy, we will miss you forever, but we'll think of you and the legacy you left behind always.
