Obituary of Ida Manfredi

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Ida of Barrie Ontario (formerly of Sault Ste. Marie), passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the age of 85 years.

Predeceased by her loving husband Salvatore. Survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters Pina, Gina (Ward) and Bettie (Gord) and sons Anthony (Karen), Arthur (Laura) and Sam (Kerry). Proud Nonna of her 11 grandchildren Nathan, Brandon, Ryan, Nicole, Meghan, Andy, Declan, Selina, Delaney, Vanessa and Camilla. Predeceased by her parents Luigina and Settimio Nicoletta. Sister of Frank (Grace) and Enzo (late Jeannie) and predeceased by Joe (Francis), Paul (Diane), Maria Russo (late Aurelio). Ida will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great niece and nephew.  

Ida was an inspiration to all for her selflessness, devotion to loved ones, joyful spirit, hard work ethic, and great sense of humour. She was adored by family and friends and will be greatly missed, as will the delicious meals and baked goods that she was famous for lovingly preparing and sharing. The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Grove Park Home in Barrie, Ontario for their tender and compassionate care of Ida.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Gregory’s Church (71 Estelle Street) on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 12:00 noon. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum.
