Obituary of Robert Patrick Flynn

Passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the age of 75. Devoted husband of Gail for 48 years. Cherished father of Simon (Abigail), Robin (Michael), Matthew (Joelle), Daniel (Rebecca) and Frances. Proud grandfather of Gabriel, Lea, Sebastian, Anna, Clara, Emma, Alexandra, Cecilia, Andrew, Emily, Vanessa, Jonathan, Paul, Jamal, Aivah, Grayson, Levi, Charlotte and Jaeden. Predeceased by his parents Francis and Agnes Flynn. Survived by his sisters Frances, Dorothy, Rosemary, Gretta, Loraine and Rene and predeceased by his sisters Elizabeth, Theresa and Margaret and his brothers Thomas, Edward and John. Robert will be fondly remembered by his large extended family.

Robert was born in 1948 in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Besides spending time with his family, Robert loved oil painting, camping, sitting by a fire and reading. His family will especially miss his ability to make everyone laugh. He will be greatly missed.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Veronica’s Church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Peter Nwachukwu officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
