Obituary of Louise Stopar

With loving hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Louise Stopar at the Sault Area Hospital with family by her side on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Josef for 43 years. Beloved mother and friend of Brenda. Predeceased by her parents William and Mary Zaharko (Bondar). Beloved sister of Richard Zaharko (late Janet) and Carol Ross (late Kevin). Sister-in-law of Pat Stopar (late Frank), Alojz Stopar (Zdenka) and Mimica Stojnev (late Ivo). Auntie Louise will be fondly remembered be her many nieces and nephews.

Louise was a kind, loving, funny and generous person. As a retired Scotiabanker, she found great pleasure in spending time and travelling with her daughter, family trips to the beach, wii bowling with her fellow retirees and friends, and baking her famous rum cakes enjoyed by many. 

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
