Obituary of John Chilelli

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John, with his family by his side on Saturday, October 21, 2023. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Rita. Dear father of Tony (Laurie) and Mario (Andrea). Cherished Nonno of Cory, Anthony (Angela), Jason (Mae), Miranda (Ian) and Matthew. Loved “Chocolate Nonno” of Sophie and Abby. Son of the late Vincenzo and the late Rosa Chilelli. Brother of Maria Capiscolto “Capy” (late Ermanno), late Francesco (Rosina), Tony (Rita), Alda Gualtieri (late Emilio) of Italy, Ottorino (late Alice) and Rino (Maria). Son-in-law of the late Michele and the late Erminia Gerbone. Brother-in-law of the late Cesina, late Anselmo (late Armando), Lina, Ada (late Tony), Franca (late Mario) and Aldo (Rina). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m. with Deacon Rob Thibodeau officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

A special thank you to his brother and roommate, Ottorino, for always being there for Dad. Also, many thanks to the doctors, nurses and caregivers in the Emergency Department and 3^rd Floor at the Sault Area Hospital for all the care and compassion during Dad’s stay there.
