He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Reno loved his family dearly and had a soft spot for children when they were little. For 39 years, with great dedication, Reno took pride in his work in the Cold Mill at Algoma Steel. He was an active member of the YMCA with his good friend, Carmen Borghese for many years. Reno with Isabel practiced their faith and were strengthened by their weekly attendance at church. Reno and Isabel enjoyed years of friendship with their many church friends which included the Borgheses, the Stilins and the Bennetts. Reno loved the outdoors which led him to build his own paradise on Goulais Bay. He and Isabel happily shared their ‘piece of heaven’ with so many family and friends through his 71 years at camp. The good times shared there with neighbours, created his Goulais family including the Hollingsworths, the Godfreys and the Johnsons.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd., 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service in the chapel at 12:00 noon with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to Canadian Institute for the Blind (CNIB), Light the Cross or St. Vincent Place would be greatly appreciated by the family.
