Obituary of Sam Stasiuk

It is with great sadness that we announce Sam’s passing on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in his 86^th year. Beloved husband of Marilyn for 61 years. Cherished father of Lisa and Dan (Natasha). Proud grandfather of Ryan (Jessie) and Deven (Sophia) and great grandfather of Oakley.

During his life, he was a teacher, hockey player, traveller, skier, kayaker, hiker, an avid reader and a great dancer. He loved the outdoors and spent 37 years enjoying the camp at Batchawana Bay.

His passing leaves a void in our lives, but we will cherish the memories. At Sam’s request, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
