Obituary of Angela Romano

Our mom chose Wednesday, December 27, 2023 to leave this world and reunite with her loving husband Frank, daughter Lisa and mother MariAngela Vilone. Angela was born on March 5, 1930 and passed away peacefully at Extendicare Maple View. She will be sadly missed by her cherished children Bruno (Cathy), late Lisa Minici (Luigi), Lina (Tony) and Josie Serrao (Ezio). Special and proud Nonna of Angela Santos (Matt), Domenico Minici (Adrianna), Marie Santos (David), Ross Romano (Heather), Emily Mangone (Matt), Ashley Serrao (Thomas), Celena Serrao and Lucas Serrao. Angela loved her many great grandchildren. She leaves behind her younger sister, Rosina Lombardo. Predeceased by her siblings Fred Vilone (Elizabeth) and Dominick Vilone (Anna). Sister-in-law of Nick Romano (late Rosina), late Sam Romano, late Rocco Romano (Pat) and the late Bruno Romano (Rosa). Angela had many loving nieces, nephews and extended family who will miss her dearly. 

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Extendicare Maple View Residents Council would be greatly appreciated by the family. 

Angela’s daughters, Lina and Josie want to give a very special thank you and heartfelt hug to all the staff at Maple View, especially all the many wonderful staff on Twin Lakes who were like family to us. Our mom loved you all, and you will forever hold an extremely special place in our hearts.
