Obituary of Gerald Edward Pieschke

Passed peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Husband of Armande for 62 years. Loved father of Denyse, Ken, Audrey Caputo (Michael) and Keith (Tracey). Special Grandpa of Denile Hooper, Heaven Leigh Pieschke and Mariah Willet (Nicolas). Papere of Liam and Nate. Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Frances and his siblings Clarence (late Therese), Lawrence, Anna, Robert, John, Janet (Barry) and Angela.

Retired from Algoma Steel for over 30 years, Gerry was an avid storyteller. He loved to fish and hunt and take his family camping and ice fishing.  He lived a full life. We are sad to see him go, but we know he is at peace now.

A Memorial Mass will be held later date at St. Gerard Majella Church with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Memorial donations to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) or Doctors Without Borders would be greatly appreciated by the family.
