Obituary of Jim McNabb

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Jim at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, February 16, 2024. Beloved husband and best friend of Barb for 50 years. He was the most amazing father and hero to his daughter Jodie McNabb (Grant Phillips) and fur grandpa to Boots. Loyal brother of Anne Varcoe (late Fordy). Brother-in-law of Marg Lessage (Carl), Tom Marinelli (Susan) and Pam Martella (Joe). Special uncle of Debbie King (Tim). He leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many friends. 

Without knowing it, he impacted so many with his never-ending knowledge of motors, helpful hand and infectious smile.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 12:00 noon until the time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial donations to SAH Critical Care Fund or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Special thanks to the amazing ICU nurses at Sault Area Hospital, especially Amanda, Kirstin, Stacey, Carly, Alissa, and Chris. 

One last saying for the road “born on the mountain, raised in a cave, seeing you again is what I crave.”
