My condolences to the Madonna family. I knew Lou from my years at Zellers at the station mall. I was always impressed at his friendliness and involvement in so many aspects of daily life. Lou had a highly active and impactful influence on so many and will be sorely missed.

I have many great memories of Lou during my time working for the mall. He was the mall's biggest supporter and devoted his time to the board during my time there and for many years prior - truly earning his title of Mayor! He was generous, kind, young at heart, always had a smile on his face and took every opportunity to throw a joke your way. He will be so missed! Sending my condolences to his dear family and friends.

It was with mixed emotion that we learned of Lou's passing. He began dealing with Hamilton Lens Supply in March of 1977 and for 20 years, until his retirement in December of 2017. He was a joy to deal with on the phone and often had the girls at the lab laughing.
The best that can be said of anyone, is to make a difference, and Lou certainly did, by providing eye glasses that helped folks see better. We will sadly miss his sense of humour, our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

To all of Lou's family my heartfelt condolences on his passing. He was definitely one of a kind! In all the years I've known him (and they are many) he never changed. He was quite the guy and he was one that I will truly miss. I'm so glad I got to see him recently and even though he couldn't communicate, he could still give you that smile...and he was always ready if you wanted to give him a big hug and a kiss. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again. Love and prayers
