Obituary of Lorraine Lauzon

Passed away at Extendicare Maple View on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the age of 83. Predeceased by her husband Andrew Lauzon, her parents Rose and Harry Peath and her brother Patrick Peath.  Loving mother of Harry Peath (Eileen), Rose-Marie Sterling, Luanna Veaudry (David), Lucy Matthews (Blaine) and Sharon Lambert. Cherished grandmother of Mandy Veaudry, Patricia Veaudry, Eric Peath, Krista Peath, Kevin Cardiff, Trinity Cardiff, Beckie-Mercier-Maki, Tracey Lambert, Jessica Lambert, and Paul Lambert.  Beloved great grandmother of Morgan, Blythe, Fallon, Deucalion, Maximus, and Danica. Lorraine will be missed by many friends and extended family.  

Lorraine grew up in Batchewana Bay. She was most noted for her beautiful smile and incredible voice. She was a favorite local radio singer who was as comfortable singing Ave Maria as she was Country.  

The family would like to thank Extendicare Maple View staff for the wonderful care Lorraine received.  In lieu of flowers a donation to the SAH Cancer Care Fund can be made in her honor.   

Cremation has taken place, and a private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758).

In tears we saw you sinking,

We watched you fade away,

Our hearts were almost broken,

You fought so hard to stay,

But when we saw you sleeping,

So peacefully free from pain,

We could not wish you back

To suffer that again.
