Obituary of Colleen Ann Richardson

With heartfelt sorrow, we regret to announce the passing of Colleen at Extendicare Maple View on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the age of 86. Long time partner of Wes Seabrook. Loving mother of Jeffrey Richardson (Julie) and Brian Richardson (Christine). Proud grandmother of Sarah (Mark), Alex and great grandmother of Mason. She will be fondly remembered by Wes’ daughter, Joan, grandchildren Derek (Alex) and Craig and great grandson Lucas. She leaves behind her sisters Eileen and Sally and her brother Gerald (Brenda). Predeceased by her brother, Terry, Dennis and Danny. She was the eldest daughter of the late Dennis and the late Vera Carrigan. Sister-in-law of Virginia. Colleen will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, especially Phyllis Aubertin.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Lower Lounge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the SAH Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie would be greatly appreciated by the family.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Maple View – Ranger Lake for the care and compassion given to Colleen and her family, including all the nurses, doctors, PSWs and cleaning staff. You are all hard workers that are overworked, underpaid and often go unrecognized. We are forever grateful.
