Obituary of Geraldine McKay

Passed away peacefully at her Searchmont home with her family by her side on Monday, May 27, 2024 in her 86^th year.

She is survived by her daughters Dawn (Henry) and Gail, and sons Bill (Louise) and Jason (Trudy), grandsons Graeme (Mireille), Anthony and Samson, great-grandchildren George, Solomon, Ronin, Camille, and Julien, brother-in-law Ian (Joyce) and many nieces, nephews, grands and great grands.

Gerry is predeceased by her parents Adelaide and Albert Howard, husband Donald, grandson Benjamin (Adrienne), and her siblings and their spouses Millie MacDonald (Ed), Helen Savela (George), Ruby Olar (Alec), Adelaide Courdway (Emmett), Henry (Mary), Maureen Duggan (Ross), Robert (Levina), Margaret Towell (Donald), Maurice (Rose), and Gerald (Joan).

Throughout Gerry’s life, animals and nature were her joy, peace, and passion.

The family offers many thanks to the medical staff of the Sault Area Hospital and the Group Health Centre.

At Gerry’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
