Keely Donovan-Smallpiece

Obituary of Keely Donovan-Smallpiece

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Keely at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the age of 52. Keely was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

Keely was known for her sense of humor, loyalty, compassion and her loving and forgiving nature. Her passions included genealogy, going to camp, spending time with loved ones, and family dinners. When surrounded by loved ones, she often laughed, had sassy wit, and the biggest smile anyone could have.

Keely is survived by her loving husband Ralph. Cherished mother of Tracy, Crystal (Jordan), Christopher (Iryssa), Jesse and Krystyna (Trennick). Proud grandmother of Brooke, Summer, Sutton, Jude, Nicholas, Ryker and Dante. Daughter of John, Carolyn, Russell and the late Judith. Sister of Tara (Bryan), Shavon (Donny), Heather (Tony) and Jeremy (Allison). Best friend of Joyce, Mary, Sherri, Cynthia, Deb, the late Bonnie and her cat Elsa. She will be missed by her bonus mother Denise, her mother and father in-law Marlene and David, sister-in-law Mary (Dale) and brothers-in-law Alfred, Lloyd and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will always remember her for her amazing meals, her love of camp, her contagious laugh and the way she lit up the room, how she would wear a winter jacket and mitts in the summer, her brutal honesty, her sense of humor and her devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Keely is predeceased by her grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and her friends: Bonnie and Sandy.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the Moose Lodge (543 Trunk Road) between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Please watch for 'Keely's celebration of life' event page on Facebook for more details. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Second Chances Animal Rescue in Keely's memory.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Health Sciences North ICU in Sudbury, Sault Area Hospital ICU, family and friends for their support and care during Keely's final days. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).

She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
