Obituary of Kenneth Aronson

Passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord Jesus at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, July 12, 2024 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Houser) for 57 years. Cherished father of Kristen Garlinghouse (Joseph), Marty Aronson (Sannette) and Kurt Aronson (Samantha). Proud Papa of Emily Lane (Silas), Aron Garlinghouse (Audrey), Isaac Garlinghouse, Ian Garlinghouse, Matteo Aronson, Andrew Aronson, Adam Aronson and Alex Spataro. Great grandpa of Walter, Winona, and Baby Lane on the way; and Adam Coullard. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Rhea Aronson. He will be missed by his brothers Keith Aronson (Doreen) of London, ON and Don Aronson (Nancy), sister-in-law Beth Norfolk Jr. (late George), brothers-in-law Lawrence Houser (Peggy), Leonard Houser (Rosa) and Keith Houser (Yvette) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ken was an avid outdoors man, enjoying trapping as a youth, hunting, fishing and building wilderness camps. He was licensed to fly small aircraft as well. Search and Rescue was another of his passions. He worked as a teacher at Sir James Dunn High School, developing courses in computer training. As owner and operator of ACT (Aronson Computer Training) he taught summer courses for beginners and trained and equipped many medical offices throughout Sault Ste. Marie and other Northern communities.

Cremation has taken place. Interment at Hillside Cemetery, Prince Township will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to Gideons International or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
