Obituary of Edna McLeod

On Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the age of 91 years, our precious mom has moved for the last time. No boxes needed to be packed or labelled, no renovations to be completed, for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has gone before and prepared a perfect place for her.

Beloved wife of John (Jack), who preceded her to glory. Much loved mother of Marilyn McLeod, Karen (Louis Burns), Teresa (Phil Strickland) and Paula (Glenn Smith). Dear grandma of Kirsten, Breanne, Ayndrea, Amanda, Joelle, Fraser (Marcie), Zachary (Esther), Abigail (Jon), Allie and Iain. Great grandma of Ethan, Sophia, Benjamin, Daniel, Dacio, Camilo, Ezekiel, Kezia, Naomi, Scottie, Smith and Noa. Edna was born to Ira and Alice Mills in a simpler time on their farm in Dunns Valley. Little sister of the late Morley (Betty), late Lorna (late Vic), Murdena (late Joe) and big sister of Earl (Coreen). Sister-in-law of the late Margaret, late Donelda (late Calvin), late Ronald (late Helen, Glen (Audrey), Edith (late Sam), Helen (Marshall) and Howard.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Aberdeen Cemetery on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. A time of fellowship will follow in the Lower Lounge at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Friends of Israel Canada or the Galilean Bible Camp would be greatly appreciated.

A very special thank you to the staff at Extendicare Maple View Ranger Lake. There were so many of you who were so kind and compassionate during those seven and a half years she called Maple View home.

Most of all we want to thank our Lord and Saviour for his grace to her during those difficult years. Truly he proved “MY grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
